The Campaign for Science and Engineering needed our help to mobilise the R&D sector with a shared blueprint for public engagement. After polling 40,000 people we established a campaign brand and strategy that the sector could rally around.
As the creative lead, I was responsible for creating a campaign identity that helped the public to understand why R&D is so important. Our approach was to make it crystal clear. No acronyms or abbreviations, just plain, simple English and a range of tools that could flex to celebrate the many ways R&D benefits the public.
I was responsible for creating an easy-to-implement campaign toolkit, including identifier systems, Google fonts, colour palettes, graphic assets and guidelines. From the appropriately named Space Grotesk to the grid lattice and geometric shapes, every part of the toolkit was carefully considered to be forward-looking and easy to use.
I also crafted location specific headlines and visuals that brought innovation and place together along with supporting copy to engage the audience.
